Wyre Railway Line Trial

From 1st September 2017 we have access, for a 12 month trial period, to a new track in the forest.

Youtube link to video of a ride along here, and a map showing how it links to the existing routes is shown here, (route in blue).

This is the branch of the old railway line which runs from the green route to Dry Mill Lane, across land managed by Natural England.

This goes to the right if approaching from the clay track or to the left if coming up the slope from Dowles brook. Follow to the end, turn left across a bridge and then bear left to follow the bridlepath on the Shropshire side of Dowles. This will take you round in a circular route and back to the green route.

Please do NOT try to park in Dry Mill Lane car park, the lane is very narrow and the car park very small.

Please read the code of conduct below. All users will be surveyed at the end of the trial period.

Huge thankyou to the BHS, Forestry and Natural England for allowing this trial to start.
