On the 19th March the WBRA volunteer work party set to clearing a major part of bridleway over Berrow Hill nr Feckenham. This stretch of bridleways is also part of the WBRA's Worcestershire Horseshoe route (see link)
The work party set out clearing a few gateways which needed to be trimmed and then proceeded set to the real work of clearing the path between two lines of hawthorn and bramble hedge. Riders had been dropping down into the adjacent field to bypass this very overgrown stretch of bridleway but now reconstructed they can ride safely along the correct definitive route which is very important.
The Berrow Hill stretch of bridleway is very well used as it makes a lovely ride up onto Berial Lane and Cruise Hill and round through to the pretty village of Feckenham coming back through a lovely water splash, or if you want you can continue for miles over towards Stockwood and Inkberrow.
It was a lovely day to do the clearance work and Amanda Hill from the WCC officiated the work party.
We can never have enough volunteers and if there is clearance happening in your area please do drop along to help.
